Finally Friday

• Awards Day.  Count me in as "who cares".
• Last day of school is here already, glad to be sad.  Have you ever seen so many "Shinning Stars"?  SpellCheck anyone? Those stars were shinning with glitter everywhere on the wall in the cafeteria. Yeah, I'll be the one singing: Nah nah nah,Nah!  Nah nah nah Nah! Hey, hey, Good bye! to those 5th graders.
• Philanthropist, not "full-on rapist".  Yeah, I laugh easily.
• Finally finished packing those boxes in the storage closet of my classroom, it was never-ending these last few weeks. Took things off the wall, threw out about 20 bags of trash.  Now the fun part is unpacking when we come back in a couple of months.  It will be like Christmas in July. Literally.
• Ran 4 miles today in the 82 degree heat.  It was actually pleasant, not too humid.  Cramped up a bit at the end, that reminds me to bring some GU Gel or some energy gel for runs longer than 3 miles and drink more liquid before and during.  I'm in what's called the base-building phase, just run about 20-25 miles weekly at an easy pace. I was up to 21 miles at one point last month.
