I think what she meant was: "Lighten up and Don't Overreact".
One of the meanings of life is to find that balance between seriousness and humor in every situation. Some people just take themselves wayyyyyy too seriously and have a tendency to over-analyze. Keep it simple, keep it clear and keep it short. Stop when it's time to do so.
