Thoughts on Teaching

So after nine years of teaching art in elementary school, these are some things I have learned:

1. Be Kind
2. Be Clear
3. Be Flexible
4. We don't know everything
5. Prioritize people over paperwork
6. Slow down, breathe and live in the now
7. Less lip service, more active listening
8. Be Consistent
9. Maintain a sense of humor and don't ever lose your cool.
