I ♥ This Video
This is quite unusual from an uptight and serious group such as MoveOn.org.
It's so juvenile, amateurish and lame. That's why I think it's slightly amusing.
I miss running. The last few days it's been too hot outside so I have been taking a couple of rest days. I got to read these library books I checked out for our trip to Savannah. Generation A, Chi Running, Born To Run, Why Read?, and New Rules. I miss that euphoria after a long run. I miss the wind in my face, the sweat dripping off my eyebrows and forehead, the cadence or rhythmic sounds of my feet hitting the ground, the smells, the huffing, puffing and struggling to breathe, the feel of the sun hitting the back of my neck and legs. At least last week in Savannah I walked about 2 miles a day, we loved walking to get everywhere: to eat, get coffee, candies, taking the ferry to go to the other side of the river for Kathy's conference. I did manage to walk to all of 22 historic squares in Savannah's downtown district. It took a total of 3 days.
One day I tried running on the treadmill of the Hilton Garden Inn after walking around all day and my left calf hurt after a half a mile. I swam and walked a lot a Tybee Island another day. I guess resting my injury for a few days made me hungry to go out and run again tomorrow.
